  5. Thank you for trying the SLS-SETUP windows install/setup program. Use it to
  6. create installation disks for your windows compatible software product. This
  7. is a shareware package. 
  8.  
  9. To experiment with SLSSETUP :
  10.  
  11. 1. UNZIP the file SLS_DISK.ZIP to a floppy. 
  12. 2. Start Windows 3.1.
  13. 3. Select File/Run from the Program Manager menu.
  14. 4. Set A:SLSSETUP.EXE as the file to run (assuming A is the floppy drive).
  15. 5. Press OK. Wait for SLSSETUP to load and run.
  16. 6. Select a target drive to install to and press the Install button.

  18. The SLS Setup group will be created. Icons are then available to :
  19.  
  20. 1. Run the SLSSETUP installer program SLSSETUP.EXE.
  21. 2. Read this README.TXT text file.
  22. 3. Look at the sample configuration file SLSSETUP.INI.
  23. 4. Examine the complete on-line manual SLSSETUP.HLP using WINHELP.EXE.

  25. The installation floppy disk you have created serves as a very complete
  26. example to follow when creating your own installation disk.

  28. This is a complete package. It has not been "crippled" with "trick" screens
  29. or encrypted files. There are no missing files or additional documents.

  31. SLS-SETUP features :
  32.  
  33.    * Fast, simple customizing with one ".INI" configuration text file.
  34.    * Fully modifiable program "resources" (dialog boxes, icons, etc.).
  35.    * Typically uses about 100 K bytes of disk space.
  36.    * Only special requirement is Windows 3.1.
