  14.                      INSTALLATION PROGRAM INFORMATION

  17. Paper Route Ledger (PRL) is provided with an installation utility, which 
  18. will not only install the program for you, but will also test your system 
  19. for the necessary hard drive space, minimum DOS version, and necessary 
  20. settings in your CONFIG.SYS file.
  21.  
  22. The program will install the PRL program to your hard disk drive, and will 
  23. provide you with a default subdirectory name (\PRL). We recommend that you 
  24. use this default directory name, but you are free to change it.

  26. The install program will also check your CONFIG.SYS file for necessary 
  27. parameters, and will update those settings for you if necessary (if you  
  28. don't want the program to make these changes for you, just select "N" and 
  29. you can modify them manually).

  31. It will also add the PRL subdirectory to your system PATH statement if you 
  32. want. Again, you are free to select "N" and make the changes your- self if 
  33. you wish.

  35. If any changes are made to your CONFIG.SYS and/or AUTOEXEC.BAT files, your 
  36. system must be rebooted in order for the changes to take effect.

  38. When the installation is complete, the PRL program will automatically load 
  39. and configure itself.
