  11. Ticker is distributed in one archive file (TICK10.ZIP).  TICK10.ZIP
  12. contains the Ticker executable and all of the files required to run
  13. Ticker.  TICKER.HLP, INSTALL.HLP  and REGISTER.HLP are extensive context
  14. sensitive graphic help files.  These Help Files not required in order to
  15. execute and evaluate Ticker.  However, Ticker contains several custom
  16. graphical controls that are documented only in the Ticker Help File
  17. (TICKER.HLP).

  19. Ticker is compressed using PKZIP.EXE v2.04g by PKWARE Inc.  The
  20. Authenticity Verification Feature was also used.  This provides for the
  21. detection of tampered, hacked, or virus infected archive files.  If you
  22. use PKUNZIP.EXE by PKWARE Inc. the extraction of a Ticker archive file
  23. should end with the message:

  28. When PKUNZIP.EXE detects an authenticity problem the extraction of a
  29. Ticker archive file ends with the message:

  31.         PKUNZIP: Warning!
  32.         Authenticity Verification Failed!
  33.         One or more of these files has most likely been tampered with.

  35. Contact me for a new archive file if an authenticity problem is
  36. detected.  NOTE:  Bulletin Boards may rearchive the Ticker archive
  37. file, in that case Authenticity Verification will not be present.

  40. Ticker must be installed before use.  Installation instructions can be
  41. found in INSTALL.HLP (Windows Help Format).  For viewing, double click
  42. INSTALL.HLP from the file manager.

  44. For registration information see REGISTER.HLP (Windows Help Format).  For
  45. viewing, double click REGISTER.HLP from the file manager.

  47. You should make copies of the archive file so that you can give a copy of
  48. Ticker to friends or upload them to your favorite bulletin boards. Never
  49. upload archive files that you have compressed yourself.  FILE_ID.DIZ
  50. provides a description of Ticker for uploading.  If you are asked to
  51. provide keywords for Ticker, I recommend the following:  TICKER, UTILITY,
  52. ALARMS, RESOURCES, DRIVES, MEMORY, TASKS, CONFIGURATION, REMINDERS
  53. and CLOCK.

  55. If you experience some screen flicker during Ticker animation double
  56. click TICKER.HLP from the file manager and search on Screen Flicker.
