  5.      Note! In order to use the auto format feature you must have FORMAT.COM
  6.            in you DOS path or in the directory where DZIP is located.

  9.         DZIP installation program creates up to 10 batch files that are used
  10.         in formatting diskettes and 1 Key file named 'AUTOFOR.KEY'.
  11.         
  12.         These batch files must be modified if you are using a DOS prior to
  13.         DOS 5.0.   
  14.  
  15.         Description of batch files:

  17.         FOR360.BAT  (Format batch file for 360K Diskettes)
  18.         FOR720.BAT  (Format batch file for 720K Diskettes)
  19.         FOR12.BAT   (Format batch file for 1.2M Diskettes)
  20.         FOR144.BAT  (Format batch file for 1.44M Diskettes)
  21.         FOR288.BAT  (Format batch file for 2.88M Diskettes)
  22.         QFOR360.BAT  (Quick format batch file for 360K Diskettes)
  23.         QFOR720.BAT  (Quick format batch file for 720K Diskettes)
  24.         QFOR12.BAT   (Quick format batch file for 1.2M Diskettes)
  25.         QFOR144.BAT  (Quick format batch file for 1.44M Diskettes)
  26.         QFOR288.BAT  (Quick format batch file for 2.88M Diskettes)

  28.         AUTOFOR.KEY  (Keyboard input file for above batch files)

  30.         These batch files (*.BAT) contain the command for formatting
  31.         diskettes.  They are already set up for MS-DOS 5.0, if you are
  32.         running a DOS prior to MS-DOS 5.0 you will have to edit these
  33.         batch files, and change the format commands parameters to those
  34.         required by your version of DOS.  The name of these batch files
  35.         must not be changed.

  37.         AUTOFOR.KEY:
  38.  
  39.         This file may need to be changed also, depending on the version of
  40.         DOS you are running.

  42.         This file is a simple text file that contains all the
  43.         key strokes that you would be required to press on order to completly
  44.         format a diskette from the point where you enter the FORMAT command to
  45.         to the point where you get back to a DOS prompt.
  46.  
  47.         Example: In DOS 5.0 after you have typed 'FORMAT (Parameters)' and
  48.                  pressed the ENTER key.
  49.                  
  50.         1st prompt:  You are prompted to press the ENTER key again.
  51.         2nd prompt:  Then the diskette is formatted and then you are prompted
  52.                      to enter the volume label.
  53.         3rd prompt   Then you must press Y or N to format another diskette.

  55.                  So the information in the AUTOFOR.KEY file is a follows:

  65.     POSSIBLE PROBLEMS:
  66.           
  67.         Out Of Memory Error:
  68.         --------------------
  69.         If PKZIP or PKUNZIP reports an OUT OF MEMORY ERROR.  You must set
  70.         SWAPPING ON in the General System Defaults option.  The General
  71.         System Defaults option is located on the Main Menu.  The SWAPPING
  72.         ON option causes DZIP to temporarly swap out of memory before running
  73.         PKZIP or PKUNZIP.  Swapping requires about 1 meg of temporary disk 
  74.         space.

  77.         Error Initializing Extended Memory:
  78.         -----------------------------------
  79.         DZIP uses up to 1 Meg of Extended Memory if available.  If your
  80.         computer only has a total of 2 Meg of RAM, PKZIP or PKUNZIP will
  81.         not be able to use any entended memory.  This will cause PKZIP or
  82.         PKUNZIP to report an error, however PKZIP or PKUNZIP will still
  83.         continue to run.  This will not cause any problems, it just slows
  84.         down the zipping or unzipping process.  To eliminate the error you
  85.         must configure PKZIP & PKUNZIP to exclude the use of Extended memory.

  88.         386MAX Memory Managers:
  89.         -----------------------
  90.         DZIP may not work properly with some versions of 386MAX.
  91.         If you experence lockup problems you may need to disable 386MAX.
  92.  
  93.         DZIP has been tested sucessfully with QEMM version 7.02.

  97.         File Not Found Errors:
  98.         ----------------------            
  99.         If you receive File Not Found Errors, check you autoexec.bat file
  100.         for a SET DZIP20=C:\DZIP20 statement.  The 'C:\DZIP20' should be
  101.         the drive and directory where DZIP2 is located.

  104.         Cannot Run DZIP2 From Any Directory:
  105.         ------------------------------------ 
  106.         Check your PATH statement in your autoexec.bat file.  You must have
  107.         a path to the drive and directory where DZIP2 is located.
