  4. This diskette contains DOS/NT(tm) shareware version 1.02 for 
  5. PC/XT/AT/AT386/AT486 computers.  This is the first release in an ongoing 
  6. project to bring new technology to DOS compatible operating systems.  Look 
  7. for future releases that will expand DOS technology.
  8.  
  9. DOS/NT is available for either general use or as an embedded operating 
  10. system.  As an embedded operating system, DOS/NT provides you with 
  11. development platform that brings you to market in a timely fashion.  Use 
  12. this copy as a means of evaluating this new technology for your products.

  14. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  17. Shareware distribution gives you a chance to try software before buying 
  18. it. If you try DOS/NT and continue using it, you are expected to register.
  19.  
  20. Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. The Shareware 
  21. system makes fitting your needs easier, because you can try DOS/NT before 
  22. you buy it.

  24. DOS/NT FEES

  27. DOS/NT is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge, with the 
  28. exception of media and duplication fees, to the user for evaluation.  
  29. Feel free to share it with your friends, but please do not give it away 
  30. altered or as part of another system.  The essence of "user-supported" 
  31. software is to provide personal computer users with quality software 
  32. without high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to 
  33. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program useful and 
  34. find that you are using DOS/NT and continue to use DOS/NT after a 
  35. reasonable trial period, you must make a registration payment of $20.00 
  36. to Networks Software Systems, Inc.  The  $20.00 registration fee will 
  37. license one copy for use on any one computer at any one time.  You must 
  38. treat this software just like a book.  An example is that this software 
  39. may be used by any number of people and may be freely moved from one 
  40. computer location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it 
  41. being used at one location while it's being used at another. Just as a 
  42. book cannot be read by two different persons at the same time.

  44. Commercial users of DOS/NT must register and pay for their copies of 
  45. DOS/NT within 30 days of first use or their license is withdrawn.

  49. Embedded users of DOS/NT must register and pay for their copies of 
  50. DOS/NT within 30 days of first use or their license is withdrawn. Additional 
  51. licenses must be purchased for each embedded system distributed using 
  52. DOS/NT. Arrangements may be made by contacting Networks Software 
  53. Systems, Inc.

  55. Anyone distributing DOS/NT for any kind of remuneration must first contact 
  56. Networks Software Systems, Inc. at the address below for authorization.

  58. You are encouraged to pass a copy of DOS/NT along to your friends for 
  59. evaluation.  Please encourage them to register their copy if they find 
  60. that they can use it.  All registered users will receive a copy of the 
  61. latest version of the DOS/NT system.
