  1. CS is a compiler shell or driver for the Microsoft C, Pascal and FORTRAN
  2. compilers, MASM and all their development tools and the FLEX and BISON
  3. scanner/parser generator programs. It is intended to provide a flexible
  4. but much simpler way to manage program development than all the MAKE
  5. utilities do. It is designed specifically for the MS compilers and will
  6. not work with Borland or other compilers. It allows even the compilation
  7. of Windows or PM programs and DLL's in a simple manner.

  9. The archive contains two versions. CS.EXE is a family mode program
  10. that runs under OS/2 protected mode and real mode and DOS. CSS.EXE
  11. is a DOS-only version that swaps itself out on spawns to XMS or EMS
  12. or to disk (TMP directory).

  14. This is a shareware program. Any $$$ donation is welcome.
  15. For a $30 or more donation you will get a disk with the next
  16. major version when it becomes available.
