- This is just a little info about what is new in this release of PCW.
- First, the keyboard functions have been completely re-written to bring
- closer integration between keyboard and mouse events. Support to handle
- redirection was also added to the keyboard functions. Next, two new
- menus have been added: the picklist menu, and the top-style menu which
- was written by Chris Balthrop. Lastly, two new functions to capture DOS
- standard output in a window, set_int29() and reset_int29(). Chris
- Balthrop has written a very nice demostration program which I have my
- own little goodies to.
-
- I hope you like this release of PCW. Many people have made many
- wonderful suggestions for PCW, many of which I have incorporated into
- PCW. Many thanks goes to Chris Balthrop for all his hard work, to Kent
- Cobb for the suggestions, and to Fred Williams for his work and
- suggestions. This is the last release of PCW that I will work on. I am
- in the design and decision phase of a new window library which will more
- closely integrate all of the various pieces, be more efficient, faster
- and smaller. Using a better design I hope to be able to create
- graphical versions of this new windowing library which hopefully will
- include support for Microsoft Windows, Unix text mode, and X Windows for
- Unix.
-
- I wish you all well, and have fun using PCW and exploring the code!
-
- Regards to all: Stan Milam.
