- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
-
- The supplied makefile is for UNIX System V, and may require
- modification for use with other operating systems and other make
- utilities.
-
- UNIX
- 1. Install cbase.
- 2. Copy the following files from the rolodeck example program to
- the directory containing cbddlp: basstr.h, cvtss.c
- 3. In cbddlp.h, set PATHDLM to the path delimiter character for
- the operating system being used (e.g., '/' for UNIX or '\\'
- for DOS).
- 4. In makefile, set BINDIR to the directory where cbddlp should
- be installed (e.g., /usr/bin for UNIX).
- 5. Compile cbddlp.
- $ make cbddlp
- 6. Install cbddlp. Depending on the permission settings for
- BINDIR, this will probably require superuser status.
- $ make install
- 7. Extract and print the reference manual.
- $ make man
- $ lp cbddlp.man
-
- cbddlp can be made to recognize user-defined database data types as
- predefined types by simply adding an entry to typtbl in cbddlp.y.
