- Hi there,
-
- did you also trap your time in the job of creating group boxes with
- checkboxes or or radio button in them. Moving them around until they fit. Adding
- code to handle them in your app although they belong to the same unit of
- information. Why isn't there a control which shows a list of selectable items,
- groups them, saves windows resources and time, and acts as one control ?
-
- Well, the answer is here. CBOXLIST.VBX. Load the project EXAMPLE.MAK into your
- VB and see for yourself. You'll probably never go back to assembling them by
- hand after you have used CBOXLIST.
-
- Before I continue, may I introduce myself. My name is Manfred Waldmeyer. I am
- a computer scientist and an empassionated windows programmer, developer of
- several successful applications here in Germany. Yes, Germany. We do not only
- drink beer, wear leatherpants (sorry I don't have any) and love "gemuetlichkeit"
- and "fahrverknuegen" <bg> but we also are THE largest Windows software market
- besides the USA and therefore develop Windows software.
-
- After working for a software and cosultancy company for more than seven years
- I decided to build a software company of my own. The oPen Software System-
- beratung GmbH. (GmbH=Ltd,Systemberatung=System consultancy) specialised on
- PenComputing and Windows Software. My main business is created pen based apps
- for major key accounts. As a spinoff I developed several custom controls for
- VB, which I chose as a development environment for most of our projects.
-
- This is the second one after Formtext.VBX which you can find in the forum in
- file FORMTE.ZIP. You will see that both have a consistent property set add in
- near future (in about 2 Weeks), you will see DUO.VBX in this forum which
- contains FORMTEXT and CBOXLIST and an additional 2D/3D Promptline Statusbar
- Control plus 3D draw functions you can call for extra frames etc.
-
- The version I uploaded is a full powered test version. It has all the capa-
- bilities of the full licenced version except that it nags you with a dialog
- box whenever you change modes and that it will NOT WORK IN A RUNTIME
- ENVIRONMENT of VB. You can check it and see if you can use it. If so, you can
- buy the singleuser version (one site only) for US$ 29.00 or a developer's
- version (which contains a runtime version, you may distribute together with
- the apps you wrote) for US$ 58.00.
-
- How can you get them ?
-
- Send an Email Note to 100021,2417 stating a VISA No# plus Expirationdate. Add US $5 for ordinary mail.
- If you want fast delivery we can send the disk plus manual via UPS.
- But this will cost you US $15 extra.
- I will confirm your order and approx. date of delivery via CIS.
-
- Enjoy and look forward for the next upload from oPen Software !
