  9.        I have written a routine to scroll vertically and I quess everyone has,
  10. but the other day a friend of mine made the statement that he wished that we
  11. could scroll horizonally also.  I told him I had a book with an assembly
  12. language routine in it that would do the job.  Then I drifted off into my usual
  13. daze.  After a few moments of brain scratching I told him that I beleived it
  14. could be done in basic ( PowerBasic that is ).  With a dare or two I retired to
  15. my computer and worked out the code and sent it to him via modem.  I would like
  16. to pass the challenge on to the members of this forum.  Write a subroutine that
  17. will scroll horizonally without using assembly.  No $INLINE, CALL ABSOLUTE
  18. etc.. ( HINT )It wasn't possible before PowerBasic. What new function makes it
  19. work.
