- Bob,
- I have written a routine to scroll vertically and I quess everyone has,
- but the other day a friend of mine made the statement that he wished that we
- could scroll horizonally also. I told him I had a book with an assembly
- language routine in it that would do the job. Then I drifted off into my usual
- daze. After a few moments of brain scratching I told him that I beleived it
- could be done in basic ( PowerBasic that is ). With a dare or two I retired to
- my computer and worked out the code and sent it to him via modem. I would like
- to pass the challenge on to the members of this forum. Write a subroutine that
- will scroll horizonally without using assembly. No $INLINE, CALL ABSOLUTE
- etc.. ( HINT )It wasn't possible before PowerBasic. What new function makes it
- work.
- Best Wishes
- John
