  3. For Macintosh OS
  4. ï System 7.0 or greater
  5. ï 5+ MB RAM and 5+ MB free hard-drive space
  6. ï 8-bit color display or greater
  7. ï CD-ROM drive

  10. ï Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows NT 
  11. ï 4+ MB RAM and 5+ MB free hard-drive space
  12. ï 8-bit color display or greater and graphics card

  15. GETTING STARTED - MACINTOSH
  16. ï After inserting the disk into your CD-ROM drive, double-click on the 
  17. "Browser Installer" icon. Follow the instructions onscreen to install the 
  18. browser. After a system restart, you're ready to use the Kudo Browser. 
  19. Open the Artville CD-ROM and double-click on the enclosed browser 
  20. document in the upper-left corner of the window, as indicated by the Artville
  21. "A" icon.

  23. GETTING STARTED - WINDOWS 95 AND WINDOWS NT
  24. ï After inserting the CD-ROM into your computer, click on "Install" and 
  25. follow the onscreen instructions. If this is not your first installation of 
  26. an Artville CD-ROM, you will be prompted to overwrite the path 
  27. C:\KUDOREAD\. Simply click on "Yes" to correctly install your new 
  28. CD-ROM. To launch the browser, go to the Artville program group from 
  29. the "Start" menu and select the catalog file.

  31. GETTING STARTED - WINDOWS 3.1
  32. ï After inserting the CD-ROM into your computer, choose "Run" from the 
  33. File menu within the Program Manager. Type D:STARTUP.EXE and click 
  34. OK. (CD-ROM drives typically use "D" as their drive letter. Yours may 
  35. vary.) Click "Install" and follow the on-screen instructions. If this is not 
  36. your first installation of an Artville CD-ROM, you will be prompted to 
  37. overwrite the path C:\KUDOREAD\. Simply click on "Yes" to correctly 
  38. install your new CD-ROM. Two program groups, "Kudo Catalog Reader" 
  39. and "Artville" are installed. Go to the catalog file inside "Artville" and 
  40. double-click to launch the Kudo browser.

  42. TECHNICAL NOTES
  43. Each Artville volume comes with a four-color printed reference guide that 
  44. shows all images contained on the CD and a Kudo search engine that 
  45. enables easy access to images. Artville images are compatible with all 
  46. popular publishing page-layout applications, image-editing programs, and 
  47. third-party plug-ins, filters and extensions.
