  6. Polyray is a combination of an extensive set of modelling primitives together
  7. with a comprehensive renderer (including both raytracing and polygon scan
  8. conversion).  Models are specified in an ASCII file, which are then parsed,
  9. and subsequently rendered.  An IBM-AT or compatible is the only platform
  10. currently supported.  An 80386/80387 combination, or 80486 CPU plus at least
  11. 2Mb of RAM is required.  (Other CPU/FPU combinations are available, however
  12. the RAM requirement is a minimum.)

  14. Polyray provides a number of distinct features, the most important of which
  15. are the freedom of use of expressions in the modelling file and the ability
  16. to render very complex mathematical surfaces.

  18. There are three archives necessary: plydoc.zip, plydat.zip, and plyexe.zip.
  19. These contain the documents for Polyray, a set of data files, and the
  20. executable.
