  4.   MINIHOST was written with simplicity in mind.  It is simple to use, and
  5. easy to setup.  It only requires 192K of memory,  and is small enough to be
  6. run from a floppy disk.  User entries are added and deleted using your
  7. favorite text editor.  The message base is a text file system, and messages
  8. must be maintained using your editor as well.  Any number of callers may
  9. call MINIHOST, but only 500 can be 'remembered' by the system.

  15. MAXIHOST
  16. --------
  17.   MAXIHOST tries to maintain the text file message system, while providing
  18. a more robust optional message database system.   Many new features, like
  19. event scheduling, etc, were added.  Still simple to setup, it requires 384K
  20. of memory, and user entries are still added and deleted using your text
  21. editor.  It is also limited to 500 'remembered' callers.

  27. MEGAHOST
  28. --------
  29.   A serious, full featured multi-user BBS designed for ease of use.
  30. Features include B-Tree indexed Message and Caller databases with a
  31. capacity of over 2 billion records each, ring back for voice lines and
  32. built-in callback for additional security, file transfers (ASCII,
  33. Xmodem, Ymodem, and Zmodem included - many other protocols are already
  34. configured and only need the driver to be activated), ANSI, RIP, NAPLPS, BIG,
  35. and CONDOR graphics support, dynamically built menus based on security levels
  36. -or- custom menus created with an ANSI screen designer, configurable main
  37. menu access to multiple door programs, bulletins, chat mode, questionnaire,
  38. doors, multiple user security levels and password protection for file areas.
  39. Support for front end mailers and echo / net mail doors.  Interrupt
  40. driven send and receive buffers, NS16550A UART FIFO utilization,
  41. directly supporting 16.8 kbps modems.  Database sharing support under
  42. Desqview, MS Windows, Novell, Banyon Vines, or any SHARE compatible
  43. network.  Very easy configuration by a supplied ASCII text file that
  44. is quickly modified.  You can have the program on-line in about 1/2
  45. hour in most cases.  The documentation walks you through the each
  46. option step by step.  Advanced SysOp utilities are available.  Free
  47. technical support is provided by the author.
