  1. Welcome to the Microsoft Basic Languages Forum.

  3. The goal of the Basic Languages forum is to provide an open platform
  4. for technical assistance. Self-help is HIGHLY encouraged. Please check
  5. responses from other developers,  Knowledge Base/Software Library
  6. information and the download library files before posting a message to
  7. Microsoft.

  9. Steps for receiving Basic Languages Development support:
  10.  
  11.  1.  Check your documentation thoroughly.
  12.  2.  Check to see if the answer is in the Knowledge Base
  13.      or Software Library.
  14.  3.  Check the message threads in this forum for similar
  15.      issues.
  16.  4.  If you do not find what you need from the above
  17.      sources, then leave a message to "ALL" in the
  18.      appropriate section in this forum or leave a
  19.      message to one of the Microsoft Section Leaders.

  21. Microsoft Section Leaders and Expectations of Service The role of the
  22. Microsoft section leaders is to provide technical answers and
  23. information, including "how-to" and specific API/function questions.
  24. They will do their best to answer questions addressed either to section
  25. leader, or addressed to "ALL" that are not already answered by other
  26. developers.  The section leaders will watch for and correct any
  27. incorrect technical misinformation.  The Section Leaders are instructed
  28. to provide technical information about Microsoft Basic Languages and
  29. Development Tools only.

  31. The section leaders will do their best to respond within 48 hours to
  32. all questions addressed directly to them during standard business
  33. hours. Questions posted on the weekends or holidays will receive a
  34. response within two business days.  The section leaders will also
  35. maintain up-to-date technical information as it becomes available in
  36. the MSBASIC libraries. Note:  All messages and library files that
  37. appear in this forum are public to the MSBASIC forum and participants.

  39. General Forum Rules: All of the CompuServe rules regarding appropriate
  40. language and previously copyrighted material apply.

  43.      and messages.  Upper case is used for emphasis.
  44.      A message in all capitals looks like you are
  45.      "SHOUTING".
  46.  *   All message sub-topics correspond to the same
  47.      Libraries and Conference Rooms.
  48.  *   If you upload a file to be placed in the public
  49.      libraries, please upload it into the New
  50.      Uploads Library.  Files remain in this Library
  51.      for about one month, at which time they are
  52.      moved to the appropriate library.

  54.      freeware or shareware available for downloading
  55.      from this forum.
