  7. What's New that's not covered in the manual:

  10. 1. Enhanced Online Data Integrity:
  11.   If you have experienced "data loss" while downloading information 
  12.   from CompuServe, goto Configuration, Options, and set the check
  13.   box.  This will cause Windows to "protect" the comm port during I/O
  14.   to the disk or video.  Online speed will slow down between 3% and
  15.   5% when this option is on.

  17. 2. Default Editing Font:
  18.   In Configuration, Option, you can select the default font your editor
  19.   uses when you Compose or Reply to a message.  CAUTION: if you choose
  20.   a font such as 14 point Times New Roman, all messages written with
  21.   the default font will be sent with !Navfont info at the bottom of the
  22.   message.

  24. 3. True Italic and Bold fonts for DOS Pro TE:
  25.   Originally, DOS Pro used color to indicate BOLD and ITALIC states
  26.   of the fonts.  However,  we have changed it so DOS Pro shows true
  27.   bold and italic states on fonts (except System and WingDingz).

  29. 4. Reset CIS parameters:
  30.   If you have Mail that won't "go", that is, NavCIS can't send it, you
  31.   should run "Reset CIS Parameters" choice from the Online menu on the
  32.   main screen.  Resetting the parameters will also change a few other
  33.   primitive CIS parameters; these will be changed to make your CIS
  34.   configuration more compatible with NavCIS Pro.  If you would like to 
  35.   see what will be changed BEFORE you run Reset CIS Parameters, you can
  36.   view the changes by viewing the ASCII file, RESET.SCR.

  38. 5. Regarding Fonts:
  39.   Fonts should not be used in messages to non-NavCIS users since they
  40.   cannot view them.  They can however, read your message just fine, but 
  41.   at the end of the message they will see a line that looks something
  42.   this:  !Navfont:A4J780GG67Y5HRC
  43.  
  44.   Users of NavCIS Pro, NavCIS Pro TE, and NavCIS SE 1.1 will be able
  45.   to view your fonted messages just fine.  Both DOS and Windows NavCIS
  46.   can send, receive, and view eachother's fonted messages.

  49. 30 DAY LIMIT:

  51. The TE (Timed Edition) of NavCIS Pro will operate for 30 days.  At
  52. the end of the 30 days, it will cease to go online. It will not
  53. erase itself, or its data; it will simply stop going online.  All
  54. other functionality will continue to work.  If you upgrade to regular
  55. Pro, all your TE data will be fully useable by regular Pro.

  57. NavCIS Pro TE will tell you at the beginning of each online session how
  58. many days remain until it expires.
