  8.  One of our labs has recently purchased a Hewlett-Packard
  9.  Deskjet printer. Unfortunately, most of our experience with
  10.  printers is limited to dot-matrix and laserjet printers, and
  11.  we desperately need to print out some graphics soon.
  12.  We use EMPAC 386sx PCs with DOS 4.01.

  14.  The graphics (generally VGA, but CGA may be alright) we
  15.  require are of the following types -:

  17.   1. Screen dump of graphics image using 'print-screen'
  18.      key on keyboard (this was *so* easy with a Panasonic
  19.      dot-matrix printer).
  20.      Incidentally, is there a utility program around that
  21.      acts like DOS's memory-resident graphics.com, but
  22.      dumps to either a laserjet or deskjet.

  24.   2. How to print graphs in Sigmaplot - is a particular printer
  25.      driver file required ?
  26.  
  27.   3. How to print graphics in Printmaster ?
  28.  
  29.   4. Basic or C programs to dump graphics screens to the
  30.      printer.

  32.   5. Any information on hardcopy of screen or file graphics.

  34.   As far as the local supplier is concerned, these problems are
  35.   a complete mystery. We would be very grateful if anyone who has
  36.   solved these problems would post an explanatory note, or, even
  37.   better, suggestions for software utility programs that make
  38.   the deskjet as easy to use as a laserjet or dot-matrix printer.
  39.   I've thought about writing some programs, but we are cramped for
  40.   time at the moment.

  42.   If there are archived shareware files available, could anyone
  43.   send me a copy (I have uudecode.com and looz212.exe programs).
  44.   Reasonable prices for shareware programs will be paid promptly
  45.   if the programs work ok and we decide to use them.
  46.  
  47.   Especially useful would be packages of printer utilities for
  48.   the HP laserjetmand deskjet printers. Better still would be
  49.   source code for programs, but not essential.
