  7. Please forgive me for posting this note to the newsgroup -- but I have been
  8. forever unsuccessfully trying to email to .uucp addresses without any luck.

  10. I am a biologist and not a computer scientist.  I have a generic 80386/387
  11. box running SCO UNIX SYSTEM V Version 3.2.0 with maintenance patches A & B
  12. installed.  I just barely managed to compile GNU emacs as a sysv5-3 by the
  13. simple trick of replacing every reference to CC with rcc.  However, I have
  14. not had such simple luck with gcc and x window system code.  Perhaps you
  15. could email to me or repost or point me/us to an archive containing your
  16. previous postings for updating gcc.
