  2. dvitty is intended for previewing dvi-files on text-only devices
  3. (terminals and lineprinters). The output is not very pretty many
  4. times, but it still saves quite a lot of work, especially if you
  5. have a little ways to walk to a laserprinter, for example.
  6.  
  7. The program was originally written in Hedrick-Pascal, running on
  8. TOPS-20, and was later ported to UNIX (BSD, Berkeley-pascal).

  10. It is not very smart in all situations, but still serves it pur-
  11. pose fairly well.

  15. Before compiling and installing inspect the  "compile-time cust-
  16. omization constants" and change them to suit your site.
  17. These constants configure default pager and a little more.
