  1. CDFix is provided here in three formats to minimise problems; all
  2. three versions are the same.

  4. 1. !CDFix: this is the bare program, and can be copied directly from
  5. the CD. Unless you are using CDROMFS, though, the filenames will all
  6. appear in upper-case letters... and if you are using CDROMFS, you
  7. don't need CDFix!

  9. 2. CDFix: this APP file (filetype Absolute, &ff8), when run, will pop
  10. up a save box from which you can drag !CDFix to your own disc, with
  11. mixed-case filenames intact.

  13. 3. INSTALL/ZIP: you will need SparkFS to access this archive (which
  14. contains both CDFix and Repeat), but as SparkFS is supplied on this
  15. CD, you should find that it loads when you double-click the archive.

  17. Whichever version you use, refer to the ReadMe/txt file for further
  18. information.

  20. Note: if you double-click on !CDFix ('bare' version) on the CD and get
  21. an error saying "Program renumbered ... Syntax error" then be aware
  22. that this is a symptom of a wider problem concerning CDFS on some
  23. machines, and there is no easy fix. Refer to Readme/txt for further
  24. details. You should contact your CD drive or interface card supplier
  25. for assistance with this problem, though note that CDROMFS from Warm
  26. Silence Software provides a reliable cure.
