  2.              WELCOME TO GEARHEADS

  4. Gearheads is a frantic game of skill and action.
  5. But before you get to play, you get to install.
  6.  
  7.  
  8. **FLOPPY INSTRUCTIONS**
  9.  
  10. (If you have received this demo on CD-ROM
  11. please go straight to WINDOWS INSTRUCTIONS)
  12.  
  13. First, from your DOS prompt on your hard drive, create a
  14. directory for the game. Next, you'll need to run the
  15. self-extracting archive that's on the floppy while you're
  16. in the new directory.  Finally, you'll go to WINDOWS
  17. INSTRUCTIONS below for the rest of the install.
  18.  
  19. Here are the commands to type in order to do all that,
  20. (assuming your floppy drive is called drive "A" in your
  21. system, and your hard disk is called "C"):
  22.  
  23.      md c:\geardemo <ENTER>
  24.      cd c:\geardemo <ENTER>
  25.      a:\geardemo <ENTER>
  26.

  28. **WINDOWS INSTRUCTIONS**
  29.  
  30. Launch WINDOWS in your system.
  31.  
  32. For WINDOWS '95, you can run START, and then run the
  33. SETUP progam in the c:\geardemo directory.
  34.  
  35. For WINDOWS 3.1, you'll need to select the FILE
  36. menu, and then RUN.
  37. If you have the FLOPPY version, type (or browse to)
  38.       c:\geardemo\setup
  39. If you have the CD version, type (or browse to)
  40.       D:(or your CDdrive:)setup
  41.  
  42. Follow the instructions, and then double-click on
  43. the GEARHEADS DEMO in your GAMES group for some
  44. wind-up fun!
