  1. "Penny" is a new outline font designed by myself, but loosely based on
  2. styles observed elsewhere, so some of the characters may seem familiar. It
  3. has all the Latin 1 character set defined, and so is fully compatible with
  4. the Acorn fonts (i.e. "Corpus", "Trinity", "Homerton" etc.)

  6. As the font was designed from scratch using Acorn's FontEd, there is no
  7. Postscript equivalent, nor is there likely to be.
  8.  
  9. Full scaffolding and hinting has been utilised in the design, to enhance
  10. legibility of the characters when rendered at small point sizes.

  12. The Acorn Outline Font Manager (supplied with DTP packages etc.) is required to make use of this font.

  15. below by sending a cheque or postal order for the sum of ú3.00, carriage
  16. free. In case you haven't already got them, I can fill up the disc with some
  17. of the PD fonts available for an extra ú1.00 if requested.
