  12.     The SOUND MENU option allows you to turn A64's sound emulation on
  13.     and off.
  14.  
  15.     The SOUND menu option has two settings: ON and OFF.  You can
  16.     select one or the other of these settings and selecting one
  17.     automatically unselects the other.  The current selected setting
  18.     is shown by displaying a checkmark next to it.
  19.  
  20.     When ON is selected A64 will emulate the C64 SID chip.
  21.  
  22.     When OFF is selected A64 will ignore all functions related to
  23.     sound.  This will not keep C64 programs from running correctly.
  24.     You just won't hear anything when the C64 program tries to make
  25.     sound.

  28. CIA RATE

  32.     The CIA RATE menu option will allow you to control the speed of
  33.     C64 CIA based interrupts.  To see what effect this option can
  34.     have on C64 programs try the different setting and watch what
  35.     happens to the cursor speed on the BASIC screen.

  37.     The CIA RATE menu option has three settings: NORM, FAST and SLOW.
  38.     You can select one of these settings and selecting one
  39.     automatically unselects the others.  The current selected setting
  40.     is shown by displaying a checkmark next to it.

  42.      When NORM is selected A64 will execute CIA based interrupts at
  43.      their normal rate.

  45.      When FAST is selected A64 will execute CIA based interrupts at
  46.      twice their normal rate.

  48.      When SLOW is selected A64 will execute CIA based interrupts at
  49.      half their normal rate.

  51.      NOTE: When running C64 telecommunications programs the CIA RATE
  52.            menu option should be set to NORM.
