  1. Subj: tls573 - Legacy XDrivers for SCO OpenServer (tm) Release 5

  3. The following graphics adapters, X drivers, grafinfo files and scripts 
  4. were included in SCO Open Desktop Release 3.0 but are no longer included 
  5. with SCO OpenServer Release 5.  They are provided in this TLS so that they
  6. may be installed on SCO OpenServer Release 5 if needed.

  8. The X Server supplied in SCO OpenServer Release 5 can be configured to 
  9. use these graphics adapters.
  10.  
  11. To install tls573, do the following:
  12.     - log in as root
  13.     - cd /
  14.     - zcat tls573.tar.Z | tar xvf -
  15.     - scoadmin video configuration
  16.         - Configure your graphics adapter.
  17.     - Run scologin or startx.
  18.  
  19. Note:
  20. This legacy software is identical to that found in SCO Open 
  21. Desktop 3.0, so an in-place upgrade installation from SCO Open Desktop 
  22. 3.0 to SCO OpenServer Release 5 will retain the files on this
  23. TLS if you have the "Graphical Environment" installed on your
  24. ODT 3.0 system.

  26. Therefore, this tls573 is only needed if you install OpenServer
  27. as a fresh install, and need these drivers.
