  1. tls076a -- various tools useful in maintaining system security

  4. This first ("a") version of this package consists of five freely
  5. available security-related tools.  Each tool has been compiled for SCO
  6. Open Desktop/Open Server 3.0 systems.  The degree to which they have
  7. been specifically customized for SCO systems varies.
  8.  
  9. For most of these tools, it is essential that you read and understand
  10. the included original documentation.  In particular, although these are
  11. binary + source distributions, it is highly recommended that you
  12. re-configure and re-compile the sources to fit your local configuration.
  13.  
  14. Sites which do not allow the use of binary software obtained over the
  15. Internet may obtain the original sources from their canonical homes as
  16. documented below.  This package can then provide porting hints.  We
  17. provide this software mainly as an aid to those users who must trade
  18. caution against the lack of development tools and/or the expertise to
  19. perform these ports themselves.
