  7. The IPS 1600 is a UL listed 1500 watt UPS designed to protect minicomputers,
  8. microcomputers, fileservers, workstations, and other equipment which must
  9. continue to receive AC power during a blackout or brownout. The equipment is
  10. also protected against spikes and noise which can cause hardware damage and
  11. data loss. The IPS 1600 has a communication interface that can signal the
  12. computer when there is power failure. Elgar's UniSafe software interprets this
  13. signal and provides auto shutdown capabilities.
