  7. Fortress is Best Power Technology, Inc.'s newest family of line-interactive
  8. Uninterruptible Power Systems, combining true no-break power, complete power
  9. protection and advanced intelligence in a small, affordable package. Fortress
  10. features: no-break power, sine-wave output, excellent RF noise rejection (47 db
  11. normal mode, 38 db common mode); and battery-saver brownout protection. It
  12. passes ANSI/IEEE C62.41 Categories A and B tests for lightning and surge
  13. protection. Fortress has a digital parameter display that shows true,
  14. load-dependent runtime, as well as volts in, volts out, battery voltage,
  15. percent loading, and alarm status. Fortress features 15 user-programmable
  16. parameters and alarm setpoints, as well as nine audible alarms. The 660 VA
  17. model provides 18 minutes of backup runtime at half load, and 6.5 minutes at
  18. full load. Fortress is UL listed and CSA approved. With optional interface
  19. kits, Fortress can communicate with SCO UNIX/XENIX platforms, performing an
  20. automatic soft shutdown during prolonged power outages.
