  7. The Intellicom-MC8+ is an eight-port intelligent asynchrous communications
  8. adapter that allows six RS-232 and two RS-485/422 serial devices to be
  9. connected to an IBM Micro Channel or compatible computer. Up to two RS-232
  10. ports may be used for synchrous communications. The Intellicom-MC8+ has a 16
  11. Bit onboard microprocessor and up to 256 KB of dual-ported RAM to offload the
  12. task of managing communications from the main CPU. Custom software can be
  13. downloaded to the onboard RAM to support specialized protocols. Multiple boards
  14. may reside in a PC to accommodate large multi-user systems. Interfaces
  15. available are six ports RS-232 and two ports RE-485/422. Transparent print
  16. through for terminals is supported. The Intellicom-MC8+ comes with board,
  17. software drivers (for SCO XENIX 386 and VP/ix, SCO UNIX system V/386,
  18. Interactive Systems Corp. UNIX 386/ix and VP/ix, DOS, PC-MOS/386, and QNX),
  19. cable assembly, and manuals.
