  7. The BT-640A is a 32-bit bus master Micro Channel SCSI host adapter for
  8. multitasking, multi-user operating system environments based on the BusTek
  9. proprietary Bus Master ASIC. The software interface is a superset of the
  10. registers and command protocol of the Adaptec AHA-1640 host adapter.
  11. Scatter/gather data transfers of more than 8,000 data segments can be
  12. performed. Data is transferred over the Micro Channel bus in burst mode at up
  13. to 40 MB per second. Synchronous or asynchronous data transfers occur on the
  14. SCSI bus at 5-10 MB per second. A 16-bit microprocessor reduces host CPU
  15. overhead. Both internal and external 50-pin SCSI connectors are provided on the
  16. board.
