  5. The Hostess i/SHS controller is specifically designed to meet the needs of very
  6. high-performance synchronous environments. It is ISA-compatible and comes in
  7. either 4- or 8-port RS422 models. The Hostess i/SHS features an on-board 16Mhz
  8. NEC V53 processor which is used for board control, processing of packets, and
  9. general routing and bridging functions between the system bus and the serial
  10. ports. The controller supports T1 or CEPT (1.544 Mbits/second or 2.045
  11. Mbits/second) data rates. The Hostess i/SHS has 512K of tri-ported dynamic RAM
  12. and 2MB of local dynamic RAM.
