Renaissance Graphics Vision 1024 is specifically designed to meet the needs of
your most demanding applications running under a graphical user interface such
as SCO Open Desktop, Window 3/0, OS/2 Presentation Manager, GEM/3, and ISC
XWindows. It can increase the overall performance of the system by offloading
the graphics operations from the CPU onto the graphics board. Graphics vision
1024 provides a flicker-free, 72 Hz refresh environment thus eliminating eye
fatigue and annoying distraction. Its crisp 1024 x 768 non-interlaced display
can also support lower resolution of 1024 x 768 interlace as well as 800x600
and 640 x 480 non-interlaced. Single-screen configurations are possible with
either VGA pass-through or the optional VGA daughtercard. At all resolutions,
applications can be displayed in either six or 256 colors from a palette of
262,144 colors. By incorporating the powerful, industry-standard Texas
Instruments TMS34010 microprocessor onto the Graphics Vision 1024, you benefit
from increased performance because the graphics functions are processed on the
graphics board rather than on the system CPU. This division of processing
functions allows the system CPU to do what it does best -- process data -- and
allows the board to do what it does best -- display the data.
