  5. The PixC workstation is a 286 or 386 based DOS or UNIX workstation that runs
  6. UNIX and DOS in separate windows with X-Window support as well. The PixC
  7. workstation delivers Sun 386i functionality on the PC of your choice, but at
  8. less than half the price of a comparable Sun system. Consisting of a graphics
  9. coprocessor board, mouse, and a high resolution (1530 X 950) monitor, PixC is
  10. available as an upgrade to an existing 8088, 80286, or 80386 system. The best
  11. part of PixC may be its realtime X-Window performance. Running as an
  12. independent X-Server, the PixC coprocessor board offloads X-Server
  13. functionality from the main PC. Using the Intel 82786 graphics chip and NEC V50
  14. cpu, the PixC board provides direct hardware support for windowing. By adding
  15. PixC to existing 8088, 80286 and 80386 systems, users upgrade to: .nf .na A
