  7. MITEL's MB89110/120 boards provide a primary rate-compatible communications
  8. interface for PC-based equipment. The MB89110 Dual T1 Card contains two T1
  9. 1.544 Mbps interfaces; the MB89120 Dual E1 Card contains two CEPT 2.048 Mbps
  10. interfaces. Both boards include an analog handset interface to record messages
  11. or monitor traffic. HDLC resources provide common channel and/or Facility Data
  12. Link (FDL) signalling support, and a digital PLC provides timing generation.
  13. The cards include a 512-channel Enhanced Compliant MVIP switch matrix to
  14. provide time-switching within the cards, as well as for the 256-channel MVIP
  15. bus. The matrix allows the MB89110/120 to act as a central
  16. communications/switching resource in an MVIP system. UNIX device drivers and an
  17. API are available for the boards: MS7141 for the MB89110 and MS7142 for the
  18. MB89120. The MS7141/42 drivers provide complete access to all devices and
  19. registers of the boards, in addition to the higher-level circuit packet
  20. switching capabilities.
