  7. Central Data introduces a dramatic new direction in system I/O expansion -- the
  8. scsiTerminal Server. It adds serial and parallel ports to SCO UNIX systems
  9. without consuming any internal card slots
  10.  
  11. scsiTerminal Server uses the SCSI bus as an interface to the host system. Five
  12. models are available. The ST-1016 provides 16 serial ports. The ST-1008+
  13. supports eight serial ports and one parallel port. The ST-1002+ has two serial
  14. ports and one parallel port. The SP-1003 scsiPrint Server provides three
  15. parallel ports. The scsiTerminal Server Series 2000 provides enterprise-wide
  16. distribution of up to hundreds of ports from a single SCSI bus. Sophisticated
  17. software avoids excessively loading the SCSI bus, even during heavy terminal or
  18. file transfer traffic. Serial ports support rates up to 57.6 baud. All serial
  19. lines have full modem control and hardware/software flow control. Parallel
  20. ports are DMA driven and Centronics compatible. All scsiTerminal Server models
  21. can be daisy-chained together for impressive I/O capabilities. Also includes
  22. the driver for SCO System V Release 3.2.4
