  7. Posmaker is a small, very low-cost, self-contained "wedge" microcomputer that
  8. changes any UNIX/XENIX terminal into a complete point-of-sale (POS) cash
  9. register system. Any serial scanner or wand, receipt printer with cash drawer,
  10. POS serial keyboard, and display pole can be connected to Posmaker. Posmaker
  11. also reads all credit/debit cards when equipped with its optional card reader
  12. head

  14. Posmaker automatically handles simultaneuous data from attached devices.
  15. Address byte prefixes are used to identify the source and destination of data
  16. records. Posmaker connects all of the above devices to a single TTY port at
  17. 9600 baud. No UNIX/XENIX drivers are required. Custom versions are available.
