  7. The CodeNet ISA/FDDI network interfaces allow computers with an Industry
  8. Standard bus to attach to a 100 Mbps Fiber Distributed Data Interface network

  14. very high-speed token passing ring networks: ANSI X3T9.5, Fiber Distributed
  15. Data Interface (FDDI). The standard specifies substantial performance and
  16. configuration improvements over currents LANs: 100 Mbps data rate; up to two
  17. kilometers between stations and up to 500 physical connections per ring

  19. All CodeNet FDDI network interfaces conform to the approved ANSI standards,
  20. including the data transfer rate of 100 Mbps, and full implementation of FDDI
  21. Station Management (SMT, version 6.2). They allow a standard ISA (IBM PC/AT or
  22. compatible) or Extended-ISA bus network server or personal computer to function
  23. on a backbone, in a workgroup or as a high-performance workstation.
