  7. The ADAX X.25/OSI Switch is a hardware/software package that implements
  8. cost-effective, flexible X.25 packet switching or concentration on a UNIX
  9. platform. Multiple-link support is provided by ADAX Advanced Protocol
  10. Controllers. The switch supports up to 32 trunks in its standard version.
  11. Special versions are available for up to 120 trunks

  13. Each port may be individually configured through simple control files. The
  14. configuration file determines link characteristics such as electrical interface
  15. (RS-449/422, RS-232-C, OR X.21), logical DTE/DCE selection, Logical Channel
  16. Group (LCG) number and Switched Virtual Circuit (SVC) range. Trunk speeds are
  17. usually determined by the model or digital interface unit. Recommended data
  18. rates are 1200 bps to 2.04 Mbps. Routing is controlled by a separate table,
  19. which drives an advanced-pattern matching algorithm capable of searching
  20. thousands of host entries rapidly. The method is independent of key length and
  21. is efficient (on the order of logn, where n is the size of the host table).
