  7. XIO is a new range of intelligent I/O controllers.  XIO utilizes the Cirrus
  8. Logic CD-1400 processors developed for Specialix' RIO I/O systems to provide
  9. the highest performance I/O for 8- to-32 ports per controller, 128 ports per
  10. system.  As with all Specialix I/O products, XIO has a modular design
  11. consisting of host cards, for ISA (AT), Micro Channel and EISA bus
  12. architectures, and terminal adapters.  XIPO's 8-port Modular Terminal Adapters
  13. (MTA's) are available with RS-232 serial, RS-422 serial or parallel ports with
  14. DB-25 or RJ-45 connectors.  XIO can be configured with a minimum configuration
  15. of 8 ports (1 MT) and can be upgraded in 8-port increments up to 32 ports per
  16. host card without modifying the host card, opening the cpu or installing
  17. additional software.  XIO will support 32 ports each runnning at 57.6 Kbaud
  18. simultaneously.  Individual ports can be run at up to 115.2 Kbaud.  Software
  19. device drivers are available for UNIX, XENIX, DOS, OS/2, and other operating
