  5. Openforms is a formatted screen management system for block- and character-mode
  6. terminals that operate on UNIX computer systems. Openforms is a superset of
  7. Prime Computers' Forms package which operates on their proprietary 50 series
  8. computers and provides 100 percent compatibility. Openforms recognises and acts
  9. upon all existing Prime run-time directives, eliminating the need for
  10. reprogramming. Through Openforms, the paper forms familiar to the business may
  11. be duplicated and presented on the terminal display. Users can then easily
  12. input data from the form to the computer with the minimum of effort and greater
  13. accuracy. Openforms provides a natural and convenient way to define screen
  14. formats that are both terminal- and application-independent. Major features
  15. include: line and box drawing; horizontal and vertical arrays; foreground and
  16. background colour; pop-up windows; dynamic text for internationalization.
