  5. Impromptu is an intuitive end-user query tool for generating SQL queries from
  6. relational databases. Using a mouse-driven MS Windows interface, SQL queries
  7. are automatically generated without the need to have any knowledge of SQL
  8. syntax or database structure. Impromptu is designed to make it easy to
  9. incorporate results of database queries into your preferred PC tools. Standard
  10. operations enabling sorting, grouping, calculations of maximum, minimum and
  11. averages, subtotals and counts are easily accomplished by clicking on the
  12. appropriate icon. In addition to Microsoft Windows facilities such as cutting
  13. and pasting, Impromptu lets you save your queries to other software file
  14. formats with export options such as Microsoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, delimited
  15. ASCII, text and PowerPlay data files.
