  7. Ready to Run Software's Ready Paks are designed to provide the benefits of
  8. publicly available software packages without the time, expense, resources and
  9. expertise typically necessary to acquire and instal these packages.  All Ready
  10. Paks come compiled, tested and ready to run in the target environment and are
  11. available to SCO 80386 and others.  Source code is available with instructions
  12. for platform specific compilations.  Language Pak #2 is intended for those
  13. developers requiring alternatives to ``lex'', ``yacc'', and/or ``awk''.  The
  14. software contained in Language Pak #2 is generally faster and more
  15. full-featured than the standard utilities.  A partial listing of the contents
  16. includes:  bison - GNU parser generator; flex - GNU lexical analyzer
  17. generator; gawk - GNU awk (pattern matching language); perl - Practical
  18. Extraction and Report Language, perl merges shell, awk and C language/library
  19. functionary and is rapidly becoming the interpretive language of choice for
  20. many applications (requires SCO TCP/IP runtime to use perl TCP/IP features);
  21. gbdm - GNU dbm routines.
