  5. Configr is a configuration management system. Configr enables the management of
  6. medium- or large-scale projects. A configuration is the sum of all hardware,
  7. software, data, and documentation which together make up a project. Configr
  8. provides reports and functions to perform the following: recording, monitoring
  9. and reporting the current status of all products (configuration items);
  10. referencing all development documentation and versions produced during the life
  11. cycle; recording holders of copies of documents and software; identifying
  12. persons or teams responsible for configuration items; reporting late delivery
  13. of products or slippage; generating impact analysis reports; managing change
  14. control for all configuration items; generate a list of products associated
  15. with a configuration item; generating lists of persons associated with
  16. configuration for QA. In addition to these functions the actual documents can
  17. be retrieved or viewed electronically if Docr is integrated with the package.
  18. Electronic mail support is planned. Configr may be used within PRINCE products.
