  7. Video Conference Management System (VCMS) is a software package for
  8. administering the operation of video conferencing.  It covers four major
  9. functions: administration, conference scheduling, network management and
  10. operation reporting.  It has the advantage of combining scheduling with
  11. automatic network cross connect & power on/off.  VCMS operates under the UNIX
  12. environment providing access for multiple simultaneous users through serial
  13. channels.  It presents pull down menus for easy user interface.  Data
  14. recording and retrieval is achieved through Oracles' relational database
  15. management system.  To accommodate users with high bandwidth network
  16. connectivity, an optional graphic user interface utilizing X window system
  17. version 11 release 4 can be provided.
