  7. The Image Server 2000 is a hardware and software platform for adding
  8. high-performance document imaging to any UNIX application.  It has been
  9. carefully designed to make integration with an existing data processing
  10. application as simple as possible.  The Image Server connects to the SCO
  11. environment via the industry standard TCP/IP network protocol.  Using either a
  12. telnet session or a serial line, the Image Server attaches as easily as an
  13. ordinary terminal.  An Image Server solution offers superior performance over
  14. software-only imaging systems.  The Image Server includes a custom interface
  15. for each possible thruput.  In addition, it offers fast image compression and
  16. decompression hardware, magnetic or optical image storage, a built-in
  17. resolution grayscale monitor.
