  5. The Mechanical Engineering Design System (MEDS) is intended for use by
  6. engineers, designers, and drafting personnel working on mechanical engineering
  7. projects with AutoCAD. MEDS consists of online reference information, extensive
  8. ANSI mechanical symbol libraries, data attributes for bill of material
  9. extraction, parametric design routines, an illustrated manual, and customized
  10. pull-down, icon, tablet, and button menus. The onscreen menu is left in
  11. standard AutoCAD format and may be used or turned off, if desired, for a larger
  12. graphics drawing area. MEDS is compatible with CAM and CAE software that is
