  7. The system creates a mathematical model unique to a market and products being
  8. modeled, utilizing a database created for the market. The database (which is an
  9. integral part of the system) contains demographic, outlet, and geographic
  10. information. Consumer behavior is modeled by converting outlets using a
  11. convenience rating system. Units compete for demand based on their strength
  12. with respect to price, operations, facilities, merchandising practices,
  13. traffic, brand acceptance, and location. The system reports on trading area
  14. competition around a unit or intersection, demographics, characteristics and
  15. volumes of units and brands, etc. The system also answers "what if..."
  16. questions against the modeled market, allowing for modifications on units,
  17. demographics, and general market characteristics.
