- _Z_c_m_p and _z_d_i_f_f are used to invoke the _c_m_p or the _d_i_f_f
- program on compressed files. All options specified are
- passed directly to _c_m_p or _d_i_f_f. If only 1 file is
- specified, then the files compared are _f_i_l_e_1 and an
- uncompressed _f_i_l_e_1.gz. If two files are specified, then
- they are uncompressed if necessary and fed to _c_m_p or _d_i_f_f.
- The exit status from _c_m_p or _d_i_f_f is preserved.
