  16.           _x_g_r_a_b lets you grab arbitrary rectangular images from an X
  17.           server and writes them to files or commands (such as lpr) in
  18.           a variety of formats.

  20.           _x_g_r_a_b is a front for the xgrabsc program.  Read the man page
  21.           for _x_g_r_a_b_s_c for a description of the options presented by
  22.           xgrab.

  24.           After selecting options from the various categories
  25.           presented, press the _O_K button to have xgrab run xgrabsc to
  26.           let you grab an image from the screen.  After you press _O_K,
  27.           xgrab's window will disappear and xgrabsc will gain control
  28.           until the grabbing process is finished.  Afterwards, the
  29.           xgrab window will reappear.

  44.           The XGrab resource file, XGrab.ad, contains a complete
  45.           specification of the resources of all the widgets used in
  46.           the xgrab window.  Global resources, such as default font
  47.           and color, are at the bottom of the file.

  52.           The _T_o _C_o_m_m_a_n_d output option may be used to pipe xgrabsc
  53.           output to programs.  The most common commands are _l_p_r for
  54.           Postscript output, and _x_w_u_d for X-Window Dump output.
  55.           Programs that do not accept piped input should not be used
  56.           in _T_o _C_o_m_m_a_n_d.

  59.           one command, such as _t_e_e _s_c_r_e_e_n._d_m_p | _x_w_u_d, to store the

  77.           Default settings for xgrab can be made in your .Xdefaults
  78.           file.  For the Athena toolkit version of xgrab, Toggle
  79.           buttons can be set/unset through their ._s_t_a_t_e attribute, and
  80.           text field strings can be set through their *_s_t_r_i_n_g
  81.           attribute.  For the Motif toolkit version (which has
  82.           diamond-shaped buttons for radio buttons), toggle buttons
  83.           can be set/unset through their ._s_e_t attribute and text field
  84.           strings can be set through their *_v_a_l_u_e attribute.

  86.           For example, to set the default paper size for postscript
  87.           output, put these lines in your .Xdefaults (and use xrdb to
  88.           load them into the server!):
