-
- Price: Free. This program is free ware and hereby placed in the
- public domain. You are allowed to make as many copies as
- you like of this program, provided that this manual and
- the file FASTLOAD.EXE are always together! Note: Since
- this program is freeware I am in no way obliged to support
- the program. BUT if you do encounter a problem you may
- leave me e-mail at any of the BBSes listed at the end of
- this file.
-
- Installation: Simply put the file somewhere on a disk and add the
- program to your startup group or if you are still
- using windows 3.0, add FASTLOAD.EXE to your "load"
- line in your win.ini!
-
- Setup: The first time the program is run, a menu is displayed
- which asks which version of basic to speed up. Simply
- check the appropriate box or boxes and then select the
- directory which holds the appropriate .DLL!
- After the first time setup, to change your settings simply
- restore the program and repeat the above steps.
- Note: Your changes will not take effect untill you restart
- windows.
-
- How: The program loads the selected .DLLs into memory and does
- not allow them to be unloaded. There by each time a VB
- application is ran the .DLL that it needs will already be in
- memory.
- Note: This requires a great amount of memory and system
- resources. The only way to unload the .DLLs is to
- restart windows.
-
- Coming Attractions: Version 2.00 will include automatic setup
- for Win 3.0 users and will allow restart
- of windows through the FASTLOAD.EXE
- program!
