  21.      Thank you for downloading this release of the Java(TM) 2 SDK,
  22.      Standard Edition. The Java 2 SDK is a development environment for
  23.      building applications, applets, and components that can be
  24.      deployed on the Java platform.
  25.  
  26.      The Java 2 SDK software includes tools useful for developing and
  27.      testing programs written in the Java programming language and
  28.      running on the Java platform. These tools are designed to be used
  29.      from the command line. Except for appletviewer, these tools do not
  30.      provide a graphical user interface.

  32.      The Java 2 SDK comes with the Java Plug-in product. You can use 
  33.      the Java Plug-in product to enable the Internet Explorer and 
  34.      Netscape Navigator browsers to run applets based on the Java 2 
  35.      Platform. For more information about the Java Plug-in product, 
  36.      see the section titled "Java 2 Runtime Environment and Java 
  37.      Plug-in" in the README.html file.

  88.      Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows 2000 operating 
  89.      systems running on Intel hardware. A Pentium 166 MHz or faster 
  90.      processor.
  91.  
  92.      At least 32 megabytes of physical RAM is required to run GUI 
  93.      applications. Forty-eight megabytes is recommended for applets 
  94.      running within a browser using the Java Plug-in product. 
  95.      Running with less memory may cause disk swapping which has a severe 
  96.      effect on performance. Very large programs may require more RAM for 
  97.      adequate performance.

  99.      You should have 65 megabytes of free disk space before attempting 
  100.      to install the Java 2 SDK software. If you also install the 
  101.      separate documentation download bundle, you need an additional 120 
  102.      megabytes of free disk space.
