  4. The following packages compose the distribution of the freeware text
  5. editor MicroEMACS for Windows:

  7. MEW11.ZIP:  Windows 3.1 executable package (.EXE, some macros, and README),
  8.             about 120KB
  9.  
  10. MEWN1M.ZIP: Windows NT i386 executable package for March 1993 Beta, about 108KB
  11.  
  12. MEWS1M.ZIP: Makefile hacked to work under the March 1993 Win32 SDK
  13.             + 2 sources files that changed between update 1.1 and update 1.1a,
  14.             about 11KB
  15.  
  16. MEWH11.ZIP: WinHelp file, about 160KB
  17.  
  18. MEWS11.ZIP: C Sources for update 1.1, about 280KB
  19.  
  20. MEWR11.ZIP: sources for the help file (.RTF and .HPJ), about 100KB

  24. Regarding the version numbering scheme of MicroEMACS for Windows:
  25.  
  26. Previous updates had been numbered 0.x (the Beta versions), 1.0, 1.1 and
  27. finally 1.1a. Since the next MicroEMACS release (3.12, presently in
  28. Beta) will incorporate MicroEMACS for Windows, there will not be any
  29. update 1.2 or 2.x of this port of MicroEMACS 3.11c. Any further updates,
  30. including the present 1.1a(m) will be made available only to address
  31. incompatibilities with system software or, heaven forbid, critical bugs.
  32. Such updates will be discontinued once MicroEMACS 3.12 is publicly
  33. released.
